for the loudmouths There are bound to be the loud ones working to impress. But to be honest, most are confused as to whom they're trying to impress.

Then there are those in the shed, working on being impressive, gradually becoming masters of the craft.

Those are the people who have the least to fear, and whom people should fear the most. Fortunately for them (and unfortunately for the rest of us), nobody wants to talk to them at this boring stage, not until they come out guns blazing and ready to rock.

Such people are inherently hard to spot, but I'd wager that in any significant group of people, there are people like these. The wise knows either how to get them on their side, or how to exploit them for fun and profit.
