
This was in part a response to the Hacker News thread, "How to Become a Millionaire in 3 Years", which was then made into a
post of the same title.
All the advice is that post was great, but one stood out more prominently - "If you want to focus on a dollar amount, focus on the first $10,000".
I have no doubt that some people will make a million dollars in 3 years, but I'm sure they won't get there as linearly as they think. (Unless you're working at a high paid, stable, salary-gauranteed job. But how many of those are there out there now really?)
