Unfortunately for us, this is largely an unpredictable phenomena run by a select group of gamblers at the helm.

Even worse, it's easy to make the mistake of averaging losses down; trends beget tend to beget similar trends.

As the consumer, we'll need to find ways to stay out of harm's way (if and when it comes). As the innovator, we'll need to find ways to prevent from being crushed. As a prophet, we'll need to find ways to get into the gambling den.
