When I say wife, I mean someone whom cares for you on the same, deep level which you care for them. And when I say children, I mean anyone who respects you as a caring, fatherly or motherly figure.
The first part is a reminder that respect must be mutual; that prayers are best answered when the other party can trust you the same way you trust them.
The second part is a reminder that only once respect and trust is earned, can a message be effectively passed from speaker to receiver.
It's a shame that so many do the opposite, and then wonder why their prayers are left answered and their preaching gone unheard.
